Eddystone Black Bug

This is a semi-auto Morse key - a bug - by Eddystone.
Dating from 1948, only about 350 to 500 (depends who you read) were built, so this is a fairly rare item.
Constructed of aluminium castings with brass parts, it weighs some 1400gms.
The aluminium parts had a black crackle finish and the brass was untreated.

This example is in excellent mechanical condition being original, complete and in good working order.
Cosmetically, it has a number of chips to the crackle finish, but still pretty good.
